Boat House

(First Year)

When creating the model, I experimented with splitting the house up into different segments. Each segment would represent something different, based on what the user would do in the space. The first segment of the house is used for a public area where viewers can watch the races on the roof as oppose to the top of the second segment where athletes can watch the races. The third segment is the dock for the rowers which then leads to storage on the lower part of the second segment.

Observatory Project

(First Year)

At first I was looking at instances of a shadow, and the shade that is casted on them. After I created models that were based on the shape of the landscape. This is how I got the triangular shape and the edge of the balcony to hug the side of the building.

These slides show the transition throughout my model making process.

Models

Apartment Complex

(Second Year)

This complex model had multiple models. The large one was used to represent the structure of the building. The smaller one was represnts the apartment room design and the last one was to represent the building in its context. These models gave me a sense of scale and positioning on the site.

Row House

(Second Year)

After making this model, I was able to look at the way the light transfers throughout the Row house.
